Michael Jackson ‘ghost’ seen haunting Neverland on CNN

Original article

Why this article is a joke:

  1. IS Michael Jackson haunting Neverland? - No.
  2. Fans were hotly debating whether a ghost-like figure that appeared during a broadcast on CNN was the spirit of the fallen pop star. -Poor deluded souls.
  3. A shadowy figure can be seen passing in a corridor of the star’s former home, Neverland, although neither the presenter or the cameraman noticed the supposed apparition, UK tabloid The Sun reports. -Of course it is not just an actual person walking past.  Oh and the presenter/cameraman are actually meant to pay attention for things that creep up 50 meters behind them.
  4. The spectral figure fleets across the hall before disappearing during CNN’s Inside Neverland, which featured an interview with Larry King and Jermaine Jackson. -Right. Like how I blindfold myself and the person in front of me magically “disappears.”
  5. Fans were deep in debate on web forums over whether the Thriller star’s ghost was really walking the halls, or if it was just a shadow. -My money is on Batman.
  6. On the Michael Joseph Jackson Board one fan said: “It’s clearly not a shadow because, yeah, it’s not, there’s no one there to make a shadow, plus it’s completely see through.” -You are clearly a douche because yeah you are. No one else could be this douchy. Plus you are very transparent in your douchiness.
  7. Another user said: “Maybe it was Michael, telling us that he is still here with us in spirit.”  -Did he have to be such a snob? He could have moonwalked over a bit closer to the camera and said hello!
  8. “You guys are craaaaaazy! It’s too tall to be Michael, his spirit isn’t roaming neverland, it’s resting and at peace. Only disturbed souls creep around,” poster RebeccaMJ wrote. -I personally laughed out loud on this one. Probably a troll.

Balance:

  1. Michael Jackson was one of the greatest (if not the greatest – Elvis never did it for me) singer and dancer of his time and it is without a doubt he and his music will be remembered for years to come. He has inspired hundreds of musicians and the charity work that he did is under rated (did you even know he donated millions to multiple charities)? I was (and still am!) a big fan of his and it was a sad day when I heard that he sadly passed away.
  2. I have been keeping up to speed with much of the news about him (like the rest of the world) and to have this sort of rubbish plastered as news is an absolute disgrace and insult to him and his family. Keep us informed with real news about him, not this crazy ghost story that no one seriously believes.

The money making theory is a very good point and I can even see some of its effects. Prior to this blog post, I was getting barely any hits. Once I published it though I was getting hundreds of hits. It has slowed down now but the amount of clicks was absolutely amazing.

Yeah, I sympathize with your other thoughts. But I guess with people being people, much of the above is inevitable.

Thank you for visiting.

i just think that it is a money making thing right now and will be for a long time to come. BUT if people think that by making others believe that MJ’S spirit is lerking aorund his home then they have no idea what he was really about huh? im pretty sure he has better stuff to do in his after life than walk around haunting his home like. i see loads of comments like R.I.P MJ and we love you so if those are all true then why not just let him REST IN PEACE and keep him alive in your hearts its a sad but true fact that he is no longer here in the flesh but for his children this sort of stuff is nasty so yes MJ you will be forever sadly missed but your legacy will live on in your true followers and fans..
